(1) - Jack (n.) A machine or contrivance for turning a spit; a smoke jack, or kitchen jack.
(2) - Jack (n.) A system of gearing driven by a horse power, for multiplying speed.
(3) - Jack (n.) A machine for slicking or pebbling leather.
(4) - Jack (n.) A compact, portable machine for planing metal.
